Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 30, 2026

Owemint is designed to work locally on your device by default. Your debt-tracking records (including person names, amounts, due dates, notes, reasons, and optional photo attachments) are stored entirely on your own device. The App does not send your records to our servers, and you can use the App offline for all core tracking functions. The App uses the internet only to manage Pro upgrades via RevenueCat and to send anonymous crash logs and performance diagnostics to Sentry to help us keep the app stable and bug-free. Uninstalling the App removes local data from your device, subject to operating system behavior and any backups you created.

Permissions are requested only for specific, user-initiated features. If you enable notifications, we use this permission only to schedule and deliver local due-date and follow-up reminders based on your settings. You can still use the App if notifications are disabled. If you enable biometric or device authentication, we verify access through your device's security systems to support the optional app-lock. If you choose to attach photos or files to your records, media permissions are used only to select and attach those files, and the App remains fully usable without them.

While your records stay local, certain app maintenance and billing functions require internet access. When you purchase, restore, or validate Owemint Pro, limited purchase-related data is processed by third-party billing platforms: RevenueCat (for purchase and entitlement management), Google Play (for Android billing), and the Apple App Store (for iOS billing). Additionally, to help us identify, diagnose, and fix software bugs, crashes, and performance issues, the App uses Sentry (a third-party monitoring service). Sentry collects anonymous crash logs, technical device diagnostics, and application performance data (such as app load times and screen transitions). Sentry does not collect your debt-tracking records or personal financial records. You can review their respective policies: RevenueCat Privacy Policy (https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy/) and Terms (https://www.revenuecat.com/terms), Google Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy) and Play Terms (https://play.google.com/intl/en_us/about/play-terms/), Apple Privacy Policy (https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/) and Media Services Terms (https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/), and Sentry Privacy Policy (https://sentry.io/privacy/).

On supported Apple devices, files stored in Owemint's document container (such as backups, restored files, and attachments) may be visible through the Files app or Finder file sharing. This local access is provided by your device's operating system, not by Owemint uploading your records to our servers. Any other data sharing, such as exporting database or CSV files, is strictly user-initiated.

If you contact support by email, we use the information you send only to respond and help with your request. If this policy changes, this page will reflect the latest version. Continued use of Owemint after an update means you accept the revised policy. For questions, you can contact us at [email protected].
